Recipes for Cleaners

All Purpose Disinfecting Cleaner

This really works on the all of the kitchen surfaces including the refrigerator and the walls.
4Tbsp Dr. Bonner’s Peppermint Soap
4 Tbsp Baking Soda
8cups boiling water, filtered
20 drops Tea tree oil (EO or Essential Oil)
2 cups vinegar
Mix the boiling water with the vinegar in a larger pot then you think you’ll need and add the baking soda. Then add the baking soda and let it foam and settle. Then add the rest of the ingrediaents, cool and place into a squirt bottle. You can get one at the Dollar Tree or use an old Windex Bottle (They have the most durable sprayer mechanisms.)

Glass Cleaner

½ cup vingar
½ cup rubbing alcohol
5 drops peppermint
Mix and shake in a squirt bottle. Use like you would Windex.

Hand Sanitizer

1 cup Aloe Vera gel
1 Tbsp rubbing alcohol
2 tsp Vegetable Glycerin
5 drops Tea tree EO
5 drops Lavender EO
1 hand dispenser pump
Mix all ingredients well and store.

Hand Soap

A cheap cleansing soap.
1/4cup Dr. Bonner’s Peppermint Soap
2cup water, filtered
Pour all of the ingredients into the large foam dispenser and shake (New Seasons has cheap Large plastic foam dispensers)

Ouchie Oil

-Anti fungal, anti bacteria
50 drops Tea tree (EO)
50 drops Lavender Essential oil (EO)
Place in a dropper and shake. Put one or two drops on a band aid before placing it on your wound.

Soft Scrub Cleaner

-This really works well. It gets our plastic shower bright white without us passing out in the process. But it mush be made just before using or it will separate and harden.
1/2cup Dr. Bonner’s Peppermint Soap
1/2cups Baking Soda
5 drops Tea tree oil (EO or Essential Oil)
Mix and scrub with a brush.

Wipes, Homemade

-Disposable and I save a lot of money each month on wipes
½ Bounty paper towel roll
1 ½ cups water for normal Bounty –or- 2cups for Costco Bounty/Costco Brand
1 Tbsp Dr. Bonner soap (baby soap)
1tsp olive oil (any)
5 drops Tea Tree EO
1 3qt. tall Rubbermaid container
Cut paper towel roll in half using a large serrated bread knife. Remove center card board by folding it in half the long way twice and detaching the glued paper with your finger. The roll should dispense from the center. Set it aside. Mix the water, soap and oil well. Place the towel in the container with the mixture and wait at lest several hours. I like to place the towel roll upside down first (cut side). Then rotate it an hour or so later.
