Movie Night with What’s in the Bible

Family Movie Night

Have a Family Fun Night with What’s in the Bible

This is how it works: Invite the church to a fun night of movies and popcorn.  Dress the kids in PJs and bring their blankies and special stuffed animals.  Make lots of popcorn and watch a movie with the other families in the church.  We happen to have a “no sugar policy” near bedtime, but we do offer corn dogs for those who can’t get dinner before they come.  This is meant to make fun community events as easy on the parents as possible.  Water and/or sugar free tea are good drinks to wash down the popcorn.  Stress free fellowship and learning for all!

What is What’s in the Bible by Phil Vischer?

It is a DVD series starting with Genesis and they intend to go the whole way through to Revelation.  Phil is really on fire for Jesus!  His commitment to reach children with the message of Jesus has reached new heights of excellence.   Veggie Tales told cute bible stories that made you laugh.  They even had good simple messages.  But “What’s in the Bible” is solid food that children can understand.  This is real content most adults don’t know repackaged to stick into the child’s brain.  Simply Awesome!  It’s what I always wanted, but couldn’t find.  Check them out at

This is awesome! I work at Jellyfish Labs and manage marketing/online presence for What’s in the Bible?. I love finding stuff like this online and learning how churches and families are using the DVDs.

Good luck with the movie night! Let me know how it goes. I’m happy to send you some poster files if you’d like to make posters or postcards for your event. Email me if you need/want anything!

Also, if you’d like, we’d love to have you guest blog about your movie night at We really want to make our blog for the community, and this is such an awesome idea we’d love to spotlight. You could take pictures and post them along with sharing how you came up with the idea for the event and how the event went.

Just let me know! Good luck and have fun!
